EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care entrance, Cambria Heights, Queens
Retail Marketing: EmblemHealth
Description: As a NYC-based company with a long-standing history of providing access to affordable care for New Yorkers, EmblemHealth maintained a strong community footprint. This included six EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care locations, where members and non-members could get a flu shot or Rx assistance, receive in-person customer service support, and attend free classes (yoga, zumba, Medicare 101, et al.). In addition to campaigns promoting these retail locations, we coordinated regular grassroots marketing campaigns aimed at deepening our relationship with the surrounding communities.
My role: In all instances, I acted as strategist, project manager and lead for branded concept design, media planning and social media engagement.
Campaigns & Results:
- A 2014 multi-platform hyper-local marketing campaign promoting EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care locations drove 2X increases in traffic to four initial locations
- A three-year (2013-2015), cross-departmental neighborhood marketing initiative—which included hyper-local ads in community newspapers, geo-gated mobile ads, neighborhood-specific events at influencer organizations and branded wall murals by commissioned local artists—generated 10% YOY sales increases in targeted neighborhoods for EmblemHealth Medicaid and dual-eligible plans.
